Belén Viviente de Fontanar

Considered one of the most popular and representative nativity scenes in Andalusia, every year the living nativity scene ofFontanar offers a re-enactment of the birth of baby Jesus in this theatrical event featuring numerous actors, extras and onlookers.

The show takes place against a backdrop of the whitewashed houses on the mountainside and the caves of the Rambla del Fontanar, which recreates the Palestine of 2000 years so that visitors will be transported back to that moment of such monumental importance.
