La Marmita de Ahlam
Located near Benecid, on a hill covered with holm-oaks, almond and olive trees, La Marmita de Ahlam offers magnificent views of the Sierra de Gádor and the neighbouring farmhouse: Benecid and Fondon.
The orientation of its windows, as well as offering the guests some beautiful views, serves to make the most of the sunlight. Its walls, built of red stone and almost a metre thick, act as a natural thermostat, so there is a pleasant temperature throughout the hot summer months and in the freezing winters. Inside, there is a perfectly harmonious combination of metal, wooden and stone architectural elements which give the whole place a very personal, rustic touch.
La Marmita de Ahlam offers a wide range of dishes, ranging from special menus for children (with dishes such as spaghetti, pizza, pork medallions with chips...), through to specialities of the house including kid, lamb and char-grilled red meats. They also serve roast leg and shoulder of lamb, as well as typical fried breadcrumbs, rice broth, roast suckling pig and seafood or mixed paellas, all to order.
The restaurant is part of the facilities of the hotel La Posada de Ahlam.
