El IE-027.2 Costa de Trafalgar: antigua Laguna de La Janda - Facinas runs through the old Laguna de La Janda, reaching the limits of the nature park Los Alcornocales. This allows for enjoying both the ornithological variety of the old wetland, as well as the varied landscape, relief and vegetation of the Nature Reserve.

Its location, landscape and natural diversity make Costa de Trafalgar a singular territory that extends from Cabo de Roche to the coasts of Tarifa.

Route

To access the route, you must exit at kilometre 47 of the N-340, and, along a gravel road, reach embalse del Celemín (Celemín reservoir). It runs parallel to Colector Este and, later, to Canal Intercolector. After five kilometres along this path, one reaches a junction and turns right to access Cañada Real de Algeciras, Tarifa and Medina Sidonia, leaving the nature reserve to the left.

For about 18 kilometres one travels along Cañada Real, bordering the limit of the nature reserve and enjoying the views of the Retín sierra to the west and the mountains of Blanquilla, Sequillo and El Niño to the east.

The journey to Facinas runs along fields, farmhouses, ranches for breeding fighting bulls and retinta cows and wind turbines. The itinerary ends at the crossroads of Cañada Real with regional road CA-7200.
