Experience Seville at your own pace

Seville is a great lover of outdoor living and parties. The many bars and terraces and the 24-hour atmosphere mean that if you like to party, Seville is your city.

To discover the city by day and to see the capital's different neighbourhoods, what better option than to go by bicycle.

Considered one of the best cities in the world for getting round on two wheels, Seville is full of bike lanes. For just over €5, you can hire one in an sevici.es bike rental and not have to worry about parking.

To go up the Torre del Oro, the Giralda or any of the points of interest, you can leave them at any of the public parking spots distributed all over the city.

Another way to discover Seville by doing sport is to rent a kayak, with companies like Kayak Sevilla, to navigate the calm waters of the Guadalquivir.

Between the port area and Alamillo Park, you can enjoy about 5 kms of water that is easy to navigate and that way enjoy the contrasts of the Sevilles on either side of the lake.

The Torre del Oro, the Triana bridge, built by Eiffel, the famous Betis street and Cartuja island are just some of the things that you will pass while you navigate.

If you come to Seville in summer, you can enjoy a dip because Seville now has a beach. Agua Mágica is known as "La Playa de Sevilla” or The Beach of Seville, and it has everything that you may want: sun shades, loungers… even waves! It is inside the Isla Mágica Park, where the most daring visitors will find a selection of slides, tunnels and amusements, and shows to cater for all tastes.

After so much activity, what better time is there to try out a few terraces around the city. The younger people tend to go out in the area close to the city hall, especially in the bars on calle Alemanes street or on Plaza del Salvador.

If you are feeling peckish, you will find all kinds of tapas bars all over Seville… At certain times of the day, they are absolutely packed!

The Santa Cruz neighbourhood offers a wide range of typical bars that are very lively and full every day. The majority close at midnight, but some stay open until 2 or 3 am.

If you visit this area, it is worth going to the traditional bars on calle Mateo Gago street.

In La Alfalfa nearby, we can find all sorts of bars, from the most traditional to the most original.

Just 5 mins from Alfalfa, in Cuesta del Rosario 12, is the Tokyo disco, famous in Seville for the most international university festivals with an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A little further away is the Alameda area, always following the latest trends, with cocktail bars such as O'Clock and live music. In this area, there are street markets, concerts and all types of events all year round.

One of the bars with the most character in Seville is actually in the Alameda area. This is called the Red House Art&Food, an original concept that appears to be taken from a different country.

Half hidden on calle Amor de Dios street, Red House offers coffees and delicious tarts, small Andalusian tapas and cocktails, an explosive mixture in a place that holds concerts, fashion shows and presentations… and where you can even take the sofa home with you because here everything is for sale.

Walking around the Alameda, we reach another of the areas of Seville's nightlife, La Isla de la Cartuja, where you will find alternative styles, intellectuals and artists in designer bars and former pavilions of the Expo 92.. The club Antique is one of the places most in vogue of the Island.

When the sun goes down in summer, you can enjoy Open Star Seville, which is a full programme of film, leisure and gastronomy held every night in the Muelle de las Delicias, an area that in recent years, in addition, has become a fashionable place with several terraces perfect for summer nights like New York or Lounge Mojito.

Calle Betis street is another typical setting on summer nights, and talking about calle Betis is like talking about places such as Puerto de Cuba, one of the best terraces in the Seville capital where many of the liveliest summer festivals are held, just opposite the Torre del Oro.

On the far bank of the Guadalquivir, along the Paseo de Colón, you will find unique places, like Zalatustra, a kiosk that has been transformed into a cocktail bar with a small terrace and spectacular views of the Guadalquivir river and Triana bridge. Colón 5 S.C, Babel and O'Neills, also in this areadelight locals and visitors every night.

If you are looking a different type of plan, take your diary. In the month of July Andalusia Contemporary Art Centre hosts NOCTURAMA, where every night groundbreaking concerts and exhibitions are programmed in the city. The rest of the year, in the private and almost secret roofs of Seville, micro-theater sessions and concerts  are organised, where the audience leaves a small something to thank the artists. Culture and fiesta come together to enjoy these original settings.

After experiencing Seville by night, what better way to start a new day than by enjoying a delicious breakfast or a generous brunch

Because when the sun comes up...Seville picks up the pace again.
