Flamenco Viene del Sur

Flamenco Viene del Sur is an initiative by the Ministry of Culture and emerged in 1996 with the aim of placing Flamenco at the same level as all the other performing arts with the intention of promoting professional development within the sector from an artistic point of view by supporting creative art and consolidating Flamenco's professional structure.

This cycle has undergone consolidation in recent years, and it has now become a benchmark for programming Flamenco. In the latest editions, some of the shows have been broadcast via "Flamenco en Red", a Flamenco course for beginners aimed at the university community.

In 2022 it expands its frontiers thanks to Flamenco Viene del Sur en Gira, which will take to 42 municipalities all the knowledge and flavour of this cycle that knows how to appreciate the new voices, the new sounds and the most heterodox proposals in contemporary flamenco.
