El Velerín beach

The narrow beach of Velerín is located seven kilometres east of Estepona, on the Costa del Sol, not far from the main coastal road. It runs between a series of holiday complexes in Estepona and Marbella.

La Playa El Velerín has large extensions of dark sand and pebbles.  In  some places it is surrounded on the land side by tall reeds and trees that highlight the landscape. 

This beach is very popular with young people and couples in the summer. 

At the beach bar you can rent loungers and beach beds, enjoy a cocktail and listen to music in summer.

There is also a traditional beach bar that serves typical local cuisine such as traditionally cooked fish.

The beach is equipped with showers and toilets, but there are no water sports facilities or lifeguards. 

There is a free car park just behind the beach.
