Selwo Aventura

Selwo Aventura, in the Malaga village of Estepona, is a very dynamic park with numerous additions. There have been emblematic and important births at Selwo Aventura, such as the Kanvar, the only Asian elephant born in Spain, and other species including Bengal tigers, bald ibises, Angolan giraffe, red pandas, emperor tamarins, European bison, etc.

Selwo Aventura is an extensive wild land in which more than 2000 animals from around the Planet live in semi-freedom and conditions similar to their natural habitat. Visitors can watch the park's wildlife up-close, which live in perfectly designed habitats adapted to the needs of each species.

This fascinating area can be explored on foot or in perfectly equipped cross-country vehicles, through exclusive and comfortable routes that take visitors to different African landscapes and landscapes from other continents without ever leaving the Costa del Sol.

The Pórtico de la Naturaleza (The Gateway to Nature), the first of the Selwo Aventura routes, with tropical and subtropical vegetation. This route includes the Tropical forest and The Antipodals facilities, home to the wallabies. Various species of primates, exotic birds, Nile crocodiles and suricatas also live in this Route, as well as the cheetah and gazelle reproduction facilities.

The Central Village is home to the Bengala tiger facilities and the Night Grotto, with night species such as the golden eagle owls, fruit bats and porcupines. Nearby are the large land mammals: elephants, giraffes, white rhinos and other representative species of African and Asian wildlife. The Route of the Valleys, an area inhabited by species such as the American and European bison, camels, elands, brown bears and lions. And the Bird Canyon, where you can watch birds from different species.

Selwo Aventura offers different exhibitions, such as birds of prey and snakes, as well as spectacular adventure activities such as: hanging bridges, dromedary rides, archery and Ziwa, and the longest permanent zip-line in Europe.

You can continue your stay at Selwo Lodge, the exclusive hotel at Selwo Aventura, comprising the Watu and Masai villages, with cabins that replicate typical buildings from the African continent, each with all the facilities of a comfortable accommodation with double bedroom, TV, bathroom and air conditioning.

The Selwo Aventura Nature Classes and Camps offer innovative environmental education programmes for young children, designed to promote a respect for nature and wildlife.
