Mantecados El Gamo

Mantecados El Gamo is in an old factory where the flavour of tradition prevails. It is located in Estepa, in the province of Seville.

Almost half a century ago and near the Convent of Las Clarisas there was a small workshop that had been installed in the old Church of La Concepción. Encouraged by the extraordinary number of visitors who had started enjoying the exquisite original shortbread and buns, extensions were made to be able to make enough of the renowned typical sweet products to be able to deliver them to other parts of the country.

El Gamo has a number of very secret recipes by Antonio Moreno who called them "los exquisitos del Gamo" and baked them by hand in the oldest wood-fired oven in the town.
