The Church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios is located in Estepa, in the province of Seville.
It is an 18th-century extension of the old Chapel of La Vera Cruz from the Santiago period ( 15th-16th century). The niche is acknowledged in its genre as one of the finest architectural, decorative jewels of the 18th century. The church is dominated by the main 18th-century altarpiece from the Ecijan school and home to an image of the Virgen de los Remedios.
The Cristo de la Vera Cruz dates back to the second third of the 16th century, the Cristo de la Columna is by Andrés de Carvajal and the Cristo de la Humildad by Diego Márquez, both from the second half of the 18th century. The Dulce Nombre ( 17th century) is linked to workshops in Granada.
