The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción is located in Estepa, in the province of Seville.
There are documents confirming that in 1616 a chapel with the same name was built in the Calle Mesones; Thirty years later, after it had been demolished, the construction of the new church began.
It has a single nave which backs onto the nucleus of the crypt, the sacristy and the a niche. It was sanctified in 1652 and Baroque ornamentation was added in the 18th century, featuring the pictorial representation that adorns the lateral walls, vaults and domes.
