Antiguo Convento de los Mínimos y Torre de la Victoria
Dating back to the 16th-18th centuries, the Old Minims Convent (Convent of La Victoria) was built in Estepa in 1561, under the patronage of the Marquises of Estepa. Nowadays you can clearly see from the outside the land where the church was built, and the difference in shape is noticeable at the sides.
Its tower, the Victoria Tower, was completed in 1766. It is considered one of the finest examples of 18th century Andalusian Baroque style, and was designated a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1955. It is also a Property of Cultural Interest.
The Victoria Tower is the right height so that the five sections which are built in different styles offer unique proportions and balance. It is mainly made of brick, although on the plinth, cornices and spire you can also spot stone. It is 40 metres high and from here you can enjoy a wide view of the countryside.
General admission: 2,20€. Reduced admission (groups of over 15 people, schoolchildren, associations and students with cards): €1.65.
