The Michelin Guide does not only award restaurants with Michelin stars, it recognises establishments with high-quality cuisine and reasonable prices. The particular cuisine of each one looks out for the inspectors, just in case in the future they may become a restaurant with Michelin stars.
According to the Michelin Guide, the requirements for the award of a Bib Gourmand are that the menu must offer a menu composed of a starter, a main dish and a dessert, as a minimum, where the bill amounts to a maximum of 35 Euros per person in the case of Spain.
Andalusia has 38 establishments with a Bib Gourmand and every year a restaurant may lose or maintain its Michelin star or the Bib Gourmand.
