Vía Verde of El Ronquillo
On the banks of the Minilla reservoir and the valley of the Rivera de Huelva
This is one of the best natural areas in the province of Seville for sports and enjoying leisure and outdoor activities.
The Vía Verde de El Ronquillo is the refurbishment of a section of the old railway line which joined San Juan de Aznalfarache with the Cala mines at the beginning of the 20th century, passing through El Ronquillo This mining route has been conditioned and adapted for sports such as fishing, bike rides, hiking and horse riding, along approximately 9 km (outward journey). Furthermore, throughout the route, a number of lookout points and leisure and relaxation areas have been setup, with picnic areas and barbecues.
To complete the services offered by this magnificent Vía are a Hotel-Restaurant (Old Railway Station that has been refurbished, conserving the aesthetics of its time) which has rooms, restaurant service, celebrations halls, an information point for users, in addition to several leisure activities to spend a few days surrounded by nature, doing active tourism.
What really stands out about this Vía Verde is the marvellous countryside that can be enjoyed and the surroundings on the banks of the Minilla reservoir.
This paradise for nature lovers is only 20 minutes from the capital city of Seville, with access from the N-630.
