El Gastor
Located in El Gastor, a village on the Route of the "Pueblos Blancos" (White Towns) and with good reason called “its balcony”, the El Gastor Tourist Office provides first-hand information on the magnificent tourist resources in the town and its surroundings. Its narrow streets, gardens and squares form the traditional layout of a village in the Sierra Norte Gaditana Mountains.
It shares its facilities with the José María” El Tempranillo” Museum of Traditions and Popular Customs and is located near the Town Hall, in a pedestrian street which, according to legend, was home to the fiancé of the renowned bandit José María” El Tempranillo”, after whom the Museum is named. This is where, according to a large number of historians, he used to hide from the Law.
The Museum of Traditions and Popular Customs contains articles, tools and utensils that represent the village and which represent its traditions and customs.
Weekends and public holidays, 11am to 2pm.
