Excelling, above all for his "seguiriyero " songs and had a rough and deep voice, for which reason he created the term «afillá» for voices of these characteristics. Demófilo also mentions him, and catalogued him as an encyclopaedic singer, although his strengths were "la caña", "romances", "soleares", "tonás" and as already mentioned "seguiriyas". He is attributed the "cabales or seguiriyas de cambio" singing styles, a style which historically was adjacent to Silverio. However, many scholars affirm that on the first being the maestro of the second, in Morón de la Frontera, probably this singing style was passes from one to the other. Thanks to him the history of flamenco also records in its memory the names of his two brothers, also singers: Juan Encueros and Curro Pabla.
