Cuervo de Sevilla, El
Small municipality located in the southern part of the province, near the border with the province of Cádiz, in the midst of a typical country landscape consisting of rolling hills covered with fields of cereals and herbaceous crops. It has a very interesting park located near the Laguna de los Tollos.
It became an independent municipality in 1992, following its segregation from Lebrija. Its origins go back to the times of the old tavern, called Casa de Postas, which is now Property of Cultural Interest, and its layout is similar to that of roadside villages.
History
The first inhabitants of el Cuervo started settling around the Casa de Postas at the beginning of this century. The tavern was where travellers and field labourers gathered for food and rest.
The locality was under the jurisdiction of the Lebrija Town Council until its segregation on December 19, 1992, when it constituted its own Town Council.
