Biography
José Antonio Plantón Moreno was born in Córdoba in 1953. Of gypsy origin, he belongs to one of the most flamenco families of Cordoba. Flamenco singer of prestige, he is one of the figures of tablao La Bulería in his home place.
In his beginnings as an artist, he trained his voice in the traditional gypsy cante which allowed his pure voice to "spring” from within. Plantón is an artist who combines the purest and most transcendental of flamenco art (seguiriyas and soleares) together with the more modern "compas" songs.
Within the marked canons, he has always adapted varied rhythms which have also maintained the very character of this unique artist. He has recorded several albums.
