Museo del Queso
Situated in the municipality of El Bosque, in Sierra de Grazalema Nature Reserve, the Cheese Museum has a permanent exhibition, a visitor centre with materials explaining all about cheese, and a documentary video.
The museum offers a wide range of activities, like the guided tour with local wine and cheese tasting, and a guided tour with a workshop to make cheese and a gift.
It is part of the El Bosqueño Cheese Factory facilities, where cheese is made using traditional local recipes. El Bosqueño artisan cheeses are made with milk from the Payoya goat (an indigenous breed from the Sierra de Cádiz mountains). The cheeses are white with a mild flavour and a firm texture. They are ideal for diets as they are low in fat.
Their cheeses have won several national and international awards.
Monday to Friday: 10am to 3pm and 4.30 to 6pm. Saturdays and Sundays: 10am to 6pm.
