Palacio de Santaella
Located in Ecija, the main facade of the Palacio de Santaella, dating from the first third of the 18th century, is of particular interest. It features unique ornamental elements, consisting of figures superimposed upon the pilasters in the form of caryatids. The same structure is repeated in the second floor, which is completed by an inlaid archivolt housing the heraldic shield of the family.
On one side of the façade there is a street altar, decorated with murals of the advocacy of the Virgen de Valvanera, reflecting the charm of the period.
Moving inside we find the courtyard, which is very typical of the great houses of Baroque Ecija. The sumptuous staircase to the upper floor is in two sections, with the landing covered by a profusely decorated dome with pictorial motives dating from the second half of the 18th century. This work is closely related to the façade of the Peñaflor Palace, and is probably from the same workshop
