Hostal Amphora

Hostal Amphora is a small and charming family-run hostel, in which attention has been paid to even the smallest of details, which is located in the centre of Écija or, as it is also known, Ciudad del Sol, Ciudad de las Torres or 'Andalusia's frying pan”.

More specifically, Hostal Amphora is located in Plaza Santa María, in the heart of the city, in front of the church that gives its name to the square and on one side of the plaza de España or “el Salón”, right behind the Town Hall, surrounded by monuments and palace houses, without a doubt, an amazing setting.

Our project opened its doors in June 2018.A newly-built building that meets all current standards of comfort and environmental regulations. We have 10 individually decorated, comfortable rooms with views to the square, which will make your stay with us quite an experience.

We wanted to refer to the Roman Écija, 'Astigi', where the export of olive oil from these lands to the entire Roman Empire was so important that a specific type of amphora was defined for all merchandise from Astigi, Écija. This amphora was called «Dressel 20»and our logo is the reproduction of this vessel. Short in height and larger in diameter than those used in maritime transport.
