Pilgrimage of the Virgin de Valme

The Virgin of Valme pilgrimage, in Dos Hermanas, is held on the third Sunday of October and has been declared Event of Tourist Interest in Andalusia.

Thousands of visitors from all origins experience it every year and, together with the Rocio pilgrimage and the Cabeza pilgrimage, is one of the most famous and most-visited in Andalusia.

The Virgin of Valme follows the path to the Real Sitio del Cuarto, in a cart drawn by oxen and adorned with hundreds of colourful flowers. Dozens of equally adorned carts and numerous horseback riders dressed in typical Andalusian outfits for the occasion accompany her.
