Diego Beigveder Morilla was born in Álora (Málaga) in 1884 and died in the capital of malagueña in 1980. He was also known as El Pijín and was El Pena's cousin He was recognised by many as a great maestro of songs fromMalaga and served as a bridge between the artists of the 19th and 20thcentury, as he lived alongside Juan Breva, Chacón, La Trini, Fernando el de Triana, Manuel Torre, El Cojo de Málaga and La Niña de los Peines, amongst others. He only recorded some "malagueñas" in the seventies, of which he created his own style and rescued some other interesting ones such as el Caribe.
