Darro
Situated at 1,200 m in Sierra Arana, this small village presents an impressive street layout and a mixture of both Andalusian and Manchego architecture. From the archaeological remains of Cueva Horá, where there are Low Palaeolithic and Bronze age remains, visitors can appreciate breathtaking views of Sierra Nevada.
History
This AREA, and is derived from the Arab term Harat Darro or Hadarro.The Marquis of Ariza was a benefactor to this village, since he donated the plot of land where the church was later constructed.
