Torre Vigía de Torremuelle
It is a Christian construction built to watch the coast and to send out communication signals. Some authors have suggested that it already existed in Roman times, but because it is built in a sheltered cove, it was also used when Benalmádena was occupied by the Moors.
The Muelle Tower is quite high so it can be seen from quite far away along the coast, in the place that was a quay back in Roman times, and was rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century. Its shape is a truncated cone, about 11 metres high, with the entrance at 7.5 metres from the base, which needs a ladder to get to it.
