The Torreón Árabe is an old mediaeval watchtower that was built in the 11th century and served as a defence for the city. It is currently the belfry of the Chapel of the Virgen de la Cabeza because it is directly adjoined to it. The shape of the dome of this chapel is very unusual as it reminds you of a pagoda.

Each year on 3 May, the residents of Cullar go on a pilgrimage to the chapel in honour of their patron saint.
