At 8.30 pm on Thursday 5 December María Parrado will give a concert in the church of La Magdalena, admission 10 euros. On Sunday 15 December a caliphate zambomba will take place in the Courtyard of the Columns as part of the admission price for the palace. On 20 December several flamenco artists (Churumbaque Jr with Alberto Lucena, Inma de la Vega with Paco de Dios, and Marcos Morales with his dance group) will perform in a show entitled 'Flamenco Christmas' at the church of La Magdalena, admission 10 euros. At 12 noon on 26 and 27 December and 2 and 3 January there will be activities for children between ages 4 and 12.
The programme is as follows: Thursday 26 December, a theatrical performance about fables entitled 'Fabuleando'; Friday 27 December, 'Lío de emociones de Navidad', about mixed emotions at Christmas; Thursday 2 January, 'La mágica vuelta al mundo', about magic returning to the world; and Friday 3 January, 'Navidad encantada', about an enchanted Christmas. The children's activities will take place in the Tapestry Hall at the Viana Palace, with free admission on a first come, first served basis.
In addition, from 5 December until 5 January the multipurpose hall at the palace will host an exhibition entitled 'Nativity scenes: Heritage, culture and tradition... from parents to children, from grandparents to grandchildren'. As in previous festive seasons, the Viana Palace nativity scene will be erected in the Reception Courtyard, while the Gate Courtyard will be the setting for the Wish Tree, decorated with the wishes of all the pupils of the Santo Ángel Special Eduction Centre, other schools and the Foundation staff.
