Capuchinos Square is one of the most significant places in Córdoba. Surrounded by whitewashed buildings, it was built between XVII and XVIII centuries together with Capuchinos Convent.
In the middle of the square you find an image which is one of the most worshipped in Córdoba; the Crucificado de la Agonía, the well-known Cristo de los Faroles; this name is due to the peculiar lamps which are around him, made with forged iron. The effigy dates from 1794 and is attributed to the sculptor Juan Navarro León.
