La Sierra

The La Sierra Environmental Education Centre opened in 1993 in Constantina as a result of the initiative of a group of professional educators committed to the environment. The estate is located in the Sierra Norte Nature Reserve and occupies an area of about 30 hectares.

The aim of La Sierra is for the traditional farm house to be a meeting point where people participate directly with the surrounding environment and use it to enrich themselves through observation and experience. This active participation enables them to play a leading role in their own learning process.

To achieve these goals, La Sierra uses nature as the scenario for multiple activities, and disposes of a wide range of workshops, a nature classroom, a school farm, a swimming pool, a sports area and accommodation.
