Museo de la Miel
The building that was once the Brotherhood of Farmers of Colmenar now houses the Honey Museum of Malaga. This two-storey building has been given to the museum by the Town Hall and is almost 400 square metres. There are areas and themed rooms on beehives, bees, beekeeping, beehive products, honey in Malaga, etc.
The Honey Museum is also the headquarters of the Beekeeping Association of Malaga, which came up with and designed the project, and is responsible for managing the museum.
It has information panels, seven large screens, large-scale honeycombs and a bee model that is over 2 metres. The museum shows visitors the world of bees and the beekeeping, and explains all about the life of bees, the essential work they carry out, and the delicious and healthy products that these small animals make.
