In this place, a convent whose owner was Saint Sebastian was founded by the Augustinian community in 1541, on a pre-existing hermitage. In the year 1680, an earthquake occurred in the town, which caused the main chapel of the convent church to collapse. Already in 1843, following the confiscation of Mendizábal, the complex was auctioned and a few years later demolished.

Currently it is one of the most beautiful parks in Coín, with a set of centuries-old storaks, gardens and a monument in the shape of an obelisk, in tribute to those who died in the Civil War.
