Every 15th August in the park of San Agustín, the particular and eagerly awaited competition-tasting auction is held to determine the best Huevo de Toro tomato of the season.
The activity consists of a tomato tasting by renowned professionals from the world of gastronomy. All the tomatoes come from farmers from all over the Guadalhorce region, from both organic and conventional production.
The tomatoes are exhibited and at the end of the tasting-contest the winning lot is auctioned off. The money raised is divided between the producer of the lot and a charitable purpose.
