Bodegas Al Zagal

Bodegas Al Zagal in Cogollos de Guadix was founded in 2001, and its wines fall within the “Vinos de Calidad de Granada" Designation of Origin. During the visit you will learn about the wines right from the beginning, by strolling through the vineyards and the wine cellar facilities you will discover how the vines are cared for, how the grapes are selected, the technology used, the careful preparation and the influence of the soil type and the climate as determining factors for the high quality of all its wines.

The vines in the Bodegas Al Zagal vineyards have adapted to the harsh climate changes in the Guadix region: cold in winter and very hot in summer, achieving a balance between the two is what makes the grape reach the optimum level of ripening. The vineyards are located in three areas:

Pago de las Moreras (Campo Aviación) in the district of Aldeire, on the plains of the Marquesado del Zenete.

Pago del Aljibillo where the vines are closest to the wine cellar, in the district of Cogollos de Guadix.

Pago Torilejo, the Cortijo Nuevo estate, adjoining the Hernán Valley in the district of Guadix.
