The route along the Arriates pathway starts at the 'El Camaleón' Nature and Coastline Visitor Centre and crosses the area of the Cordón Dunar sand dunes, between the beaches of Playa de Camarón and Playa de las Tres Piedras, by means of elevated wooden walkways.
Local flora abounds on both sides of the route, especially mastics and white broom bushes. The fauna features common chameleons, Montpellier snakes, ocellated lizards and a number of insectivorous birds.
Along the route there are a number of walkways down to the beach, where we can admire the Corrales de Pesca (Fishing Corrals), man-made constructions to catch fish taking advantage of the rise and fall of the tide.
