Al Pinar has this name because of the groups of stone pines, concentrated in the areas of Majadales (Upper and Lower), Pinar de Peritanda, El Abulagar and El Tábano.
The flora includes fan palms, Montpellier rockroses, bushes and shrubs, most notably white brooms and mastics. El Pinar's fauna includes the following species: mammals such as rabbits and dormice; birds such as Eurasian blackcaps, black-headed warblers and flycatchers, common finches, greenfinches, robins, etc.
The selection of reptiles includes ocellated lizards, ladder snakes, and not forgetting common chameleons, that are classified in Spain as 'almost threatened' whilst in the provinces of Cádiz and Huelva they are classified as 'Vulnerable' and a species that needs to be protected and preserved.
There is also a small area for resting and for barbeques which you can enjoy with friends and family. In the surrounding area you will find the Chapel of Regla del Pinar.
