Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" is one of the most important guitarists on the current Flamenco scene, as well as being one of the most prolific and interesting composers in recent generations.
Biography
Juan Ignacio Gómez Gorjón was born in Cornellá de Llobregat (Barcelona) in 1968. He started playing the flamenco guitar when he was a boy, so he was soon demanded by Catalan artists such as La Tolea, Duquende, Mayte Martín, Ginesa Ortega or Miguel Poveda. He founded the band Cambalache and is one of the liveliest Catalan guitarists, as he proves in his album "Chicuelo", and in his contributions with the flamenco singer Miguel Poveda.

The Bulería “No te puedo encontrar”, the main theme for the film “Blancanieves”, won the 2013 Goya Award for best original song. The music was written by Chicuelo with lyrics by the film's director, Pablo Berger.
