Cueva de Juan Pedro
The Mesón Asador Cueva de Juan Pedro is located in Cazorla (Jaén), beside the ruins of Santa María, once church and now an auditorium. With a cosy, rustic atmosphere, original stone walls and wooden beams, where they still hang the peppers to dry. It has a large wine cellar cut into the rock.
This familiarity has enabled them to maintain the old customs in the art of homemade and mountain cuisine. Everything is prepared with natural ingredients: thyme, mint, marjoram, rosemary, dried peppers and small birds.
The Cave Juan Pedro serves meats roasted in a wood-burning oven, wild boar, deer, lamb, suckling pig, ossobuco... and specialities of the mountains like "Rin Ran" (tuna fish stew), breadcrumbs with diced meat, the delicious, aromatic salad of roast peppers, ratatouille, Cazorla style eggs, fried artichokes, Cazorla style broad beans, vegetable stew and exquisite grilled vegetables.
