Opened in a cliff, in the western part of the town of Castilléjar, next to the River Guardal, there are thirteen caves excavated on two levels.
They have a rectangular entrance that leads to a lobby of similar dimensions.
The toponym "de la Morería" indicates that it is a type of habitat with both defensive and housing functions and imported from the Maghreb in the Middle Ages.
They are related to the Hafas deBenamaurel, from the Almohad period.
