You are going to fly. The whole sky will be yours. - Luis Sepúlveda (writer)

Flying is in our DNA – this desire that humans have experienced since ancient times.

Just like Daedalus, who, according to Greek mythology, built wings to escape from his prison, flying in a hot-air balloon will help us to break free from the bonds of gravity. We will float wherever the wind takes us and have a great adventure!

In a hot-air balloon you'll be able to enjoy the great outdoors, stimulate your senses and experience the thrill of floating through the clouds. An adventure that you'll never forget.

The landscape is transformed before your eyes into a huge tapestry full of colours, which will never cease to amaze you.

Globotur puts the world at your feet.

Tips: We want to give you some tips and answer some frequently asked questions before embarking on this unique adventure, like what to wear and what we can take on board the hot-air balloon. This is a manual to help you get the most out of your experience. Anticipation. One of our first tips is that you start to enjoy the anticipation of flying in a hot-air balloon as soon as you confirm the booking. It's normal to feel nervous or excited when you think about a new adventure. You will always remember that special feeling, even after the experience is finished. Safety: In a previous post we already commented on safety requirements for hot-air balloon flights. For your peace of mind, we'll sum it up: it's an activity regulated and controlled by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency. What does that mean? It means that the balloon, pilots and company promoting the rides are subject to very strict controls before being able to fly. You can rest assured that the pilots are professionals and hold all the required certificates and permits in order to make the hot-air balloon ride a unique experience. What to wear. The main question is usually about the temperature when flying. And the answer is that the temperature is very similar to that on land, since the balloon's altitude doesn't cause a significant drop in temperature. In fact, we may feel the heat of the burner on our heads, so it's advisable to wear a cap or hat in case it bothers you, which may only happen sporadically. In a nutshell: wear comfortable clothing and footwear, as if you were spending a day in the countryside with your family. And leave the rest to the hot-air balloon! You might get nervous or dizzy... You will feel like you are floating, like a gentle walk through the clouds with no sudden movements or unpleasant turbulence to spoil our ride. What shall I do if I feel dizzy? Just look at the horizon, especially during take-off, and let yourself go. That should be enough! This is usually the advice we give people who decide to fly in a hot-air balloon, but are feeling a bit nervous. Most people agree that they feel delighted at the end of the flight and like they have just had an amazing experience, even though they weren't sure about it or were to scared to do it at first. How will I feel on board? People normally think that they might fall out of the balloon, but nothing could be further from the truth, since the sides of the basket are high enough to keep you safe. The basket is compartmentalised and with stipulated and established distances. Our advice is that you trust the pilot and staff responsible for the flight, as they are the experts and will ensure you have an amazing experience. Can I bring cameras or equipment to capture the experience? Photo and video cameras are more than welcome on board. What's more, our staff will advise you when to take the best photos or videos during the ride. We do advise you to bring the protective case, though, mainly for landing, to make sure your precious personal belongings are safe. Should I look at the weather? The weather is an essential factor. The weather conditions our activity and we will never fly if the weather poses a risk to our flight, even if it's minimal. The general advice is to bear in mind an approximate weather forecast when you book a date. In any case, we will advise you and keep you informed at all times so that you can live the unique experience of flying in a hot air balloon. Globoturfly awaits you!
