Alto del Púlpito Tower

Alto del Púlpito Tower dates from the 10th century and is partly preserved. Also called the “Windmill”, it stands in the Púlpito Valley, in the district of Almanzora, with a very gentle slope leading up to the top of the hill. It was connected to another tower located on the hill of La Copa, which in turn was connected to the rest of watchtowers in the area that watched all the roads from the coast to inland areas.
