Naeva Invicta is a cultural dissemination project that presents a series of historical recreation activities connected with the context of the “Dolphin Mosaic”, which was discovered by chance during renovation work on Sacristán José Díaz Hidalgo street and dates from the end of the 2nd century AD and the beginning of the 3rd century AD.
The past of Cantillana, in the province of Seville, emerges in its streets and buildings in such an eloquent way that it is difficult not to notice the succession of civilisations that have lived in this Sevillian town next to the River Guadalquivir, which means “Large River”.
The enormous heritage left behind by the Roman, Andalusian and Christian cultures holds a great potential value that, for the most part, remains hidden under the tarmac and the buildings of the town.
The main goal of this project is to promote values of respect and conservation of our heritage by telling people about the classical world through conferences, activities and interactive workshops.
