Biography
Manuel Rodríguez García, Cagancho, was born in the Triana district of Seville in 1846 and he died in the capital of Andalusia at the beginning of the 20th century on 10 February 1913. He forms a part of the genesis of "trianero" singers along with the Pelaos and Frasco el Colorao. Estébanez Calderón mentions him in his "Baile en Triana" as one most important singers from the suburb.
Little more is known about him, apart from the fact he created several styles through siguiriyas, one of which is known as "el reniego" due to its lyrics and which was impressively performed by Tomás Pavón.
