Since 1947 Atxuri has been quite a classic of Basque cuisine in Andalusia, in Cádiz.

This is a family-run restaurant specialising in Basque-Andalusian cuisine, located in the centre of Cádiz with the appearance of an old-fashioned bar, but with quite novel décor of natural white stone and crossed timbers in the ceiling giving it a more modern look.

Generous servings of home-style Andalusian and Basque specialities. The highlights of the menu are cheeks of hake in green sauce, hake "Atxuri" style, anchovies, cod "Vízcaina" and Andalusian style, veal snout... not forgetting home-made desserts, like cheesecake with blueberries, "tocino de cielo" (traditional egg custard), and many more.

Thursday to Saturday, 1.30pm to 4pm and 9pm to 11.30pm. Sunday to Wednesday, 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
