This huge event takes place from 13.00 h in the heart of Barrio de la Villa, neighborhood of the Carnival par excellence and origin of many of the agrupaciones. La Palma street, undoubtedly the most sung at the Carnival, with the Playa de la Caleta at the end, is full of eager audience waiting for the start of the competition groups.

This time the coros are often accompanied by chirigotas, comparsas and illegal groups (those that have not been registered in the Official Competition, but they sing anyway through the streets of Cádiz).

The sea urchin is covered with barbed seafood. It is opened with a knife and eated raw. Only its red meat is used, what should be done with great care not to take a pick. Its flavor is intense and delicious.
