This building, the Hospital de Mujeres, is representative of Cadiz Baroque. The structure is laid out around two courtyards separated by an original Imperial staircase. The façade has three sections with Baroque decoration and Italian touches.

It is also worth noting the chapel of the Hospital de Mujeres with its street entrance. The structure has an open floor plan with three naves of equal height. The main altarpiece of the Virgen del Carmen is Neo-classical in style. To the right of the same, a painting by El Greco called “St Francis's Vision of the Flaming Torch" is worthy of note. Nowadays, this chapel is only for visits.
