Espacio de Creación Contemporánea Cádiz (E.C.C.O.)
Espacio de Creación Contemporánea Cádiz (E.C.C.O.) is a place in the city of Cadiz for creation, exhibition, production, experimentation and education on the subject of contemporary art. The building is an old renovated barracks on 3,600 square metres; 2100 of which are for exhibition use.
Espacio de Creación Contemporánea (E.C.C.O.) is divided into two areas: The first is a permanent exhibition by the couple of artists “Costus” known historically for being part of the Madrilenian scene in the 1980s and is considered the "jewel" of the centre.
The second exhibition area is on the top floor. There we find various temporary exhibitions.
Espacio de Creación Contemporánea (E.C.C.O.) also has a special room for “Línea de Costa” (coastline), a programme organised by an non-profit organisation that aims to stimulate creativity through interaction in the Cadiz local surroundings amongst artists come from all corners of the world.
Monday to Friday from 11 am. to 9 pm. Sundays and bank holidays from 11 am. to 3 pm.
