The Cabra Fuente de Jarcas Trail – PR-A 81 starts in the municipal district of Cabra beside some water tanks about 100 m away from the old train station, which is now the Oil Train Interpretation Centre. For the first kilometre, the path runs along the railway in the direction of Lucena, reaching a bridge which we descend to take a path parallel to a stream on our right, among olive trees and brambles, where there are some isolated forest and scrub areas where we will see walnut trees, fig trees, hawthorns, blackthorns, rosemary, etc.

At km 3 on the path, we find the Frailes waterfall, which features the characteristics of the waterfalls in this area. Alongside the waterfall is an interesting Roman quarry where stone was mined to make millstone.

From here, there is a slight ascent for approximately 1.5 km, which ends at the junction with the road to the Shrine of the Virgen de la Sierra. At this point of the path, we can see the Shrine to our left and even closer to us is part of the Lapiaz de los Lanchares, a very spectacular limestone formation. From here, we begin to descend crossing the A-340 road.

One kilometre further on, we find the Jarcas waterfall, an endless spring declared a natural spring in 1958 by the Town Council of Cabra.
