The Iluminación Stupa is a Buddhist monument for peace, prosperity and harmony in the world, as well as a sublime place for meditation.
Over 33 metres high and with a base that is 25 metres long by 25 metres wide, it is the largest stupa in the West. It is crowned by a golden cone which can be seen from anywhere on the coast from Benalmádena to Fuengirola. Inside there is a meditation room that is over 100 square metres.
It was inaugurated on 5 October 2003, following the wishes of the great Buddhist master from the Himalayas, Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche.
Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm and 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm Sunday, from 10.00 am to 7.30 pm Monday, closed.
