Castillo de Colomares

This building that looks like a castle is actually a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus and his arrival in the New World, as a particular homage to the discovery of America. It was built by Dr Esteban Martín y Martín from 1987 - 1994.

It is a mixture of several styles, made of brickwork, concrete, natural stone, wood and other materials. Visitors are recommended to go inside, where there are beautiful stained glass windows.
