It is a good example of a Renaissance palace, built as a country house in the Italian style. It is a unique example in Andalusia.

It was ordered by Mr. Enrique Enríquez and his wife Mrs. María de Luna, uncle and aunt of the Catholic Monarchs.

Since its construction in 1506, it has undergone different modifications until having its current state. Inside, it keeps Mudejar armours profusely decorated with Renaissance motifs.
