Barbate
The Barbate Municipal Tourist Office has information about the town and its surroundings. Enrich yourself at the archaeological ruins, an example of indelible wisdom and co-existence. Discover the "almadrabas", art turned into a living tradition. Become a prisoner of walls, towers and castles, a sign of greatness and strategic position. Enjoy holidays and festivities inherited from yesteryear and unleash the pleasure of your senses upon tasting the rich and varied gastronomy, carefully cultivated by renowned restaurateurs.
Magical sunsets and colourful days welcome you to the "Costa de la Luz”, where Barbate awaits you. The fishing village of Zahara opens onto the beaches of Pajares and El Botero, ideal for water sports or hiking. Dunes, marshes and salt flats lie around Barbate. The river takes you to the promenade, to the Playa del Carmen, which is very safe and practically part of the town itself.
The Puerto de la Albufera port leads to the Playa de la Hierbabuena, where land and sea merge into a natural park, cliffs and centuries of history. Along the shore and landscapes, we reach Los Caños de Meca. Chains of dunes take us to Zahora and to the Tómbolo de Trafalgar. Barbate: go with it. Stay and you'll see.
